Easy way to submit Blogger Sitemap to Google Webmaster Tool


A Sitemap is a term used for listing all the pages of your website or blog and makes it available for crawlers. It can be in the form of XML or HTML that contains all the URL's of the pages in your blog. A sitemap makes it easy for web crawlers to locate all the URL's of your website and add these into their database. Google Webmaster Tool previously known as Google Search Console where we can login and submit our Sitemap.



Submit Blogger Sitemap to Google Webmaster Tool


Step 1 - Create an account in Google Webmaster Tool and login through Google Webmaster Tool

Step 2 - Choose your website or blog for which you want to submit the Sitemap.

Step 3 - Click on Sitemap tab as shown in the image



Step 4 - Click on Add/Test Sitemap in the Top Right corner and type the mentioned code.

Code - atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500

This code can be used for posts from 1 to 500 and we can add 1 more line if posts are more than 500 as shown below.

Code - atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=501&max-results=1000


Step 5 - Click on Submit button and refresh the page.

Step 6 - Sitemap will be submitted for your blog.

You can also check the status of your Sitemap in the tool.
