Spinach Soup | Palak Soup - An easy way to prepare a soup full of Nutrients and beneficial for everyone


Spinach is beneficial for weight reduction as it is low in calories. It is good for eye, bones, brain and nervous function. It lowers high Blood pressure and relaxes the body. Green leafy vegetable contains rich amount of anti-oxidants and Vitamin E. Spinach contains good amount of iron and increases haemoglobin level.  It also has anti-inflammatory property and improves bone health.

Soup is a wholesome food which we can have at any time of the day. It is health and tasty way for weight loss also. Using spinach we can prepare a soup which is very tasty and good for health also.
Spinach soup is a good way to include healthy greens in your diet.

Lets see how we can prepare Spinach soup -

Spinach/ Palak Soup

Ingredients:

  • Onion chopped - 1
  • Tomato Chopped - 1
  • Green Chilli - 1
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
  • Spinach - 2 cups
  • Grated garlic - 1 tsp
  • Black pepper powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Milk - 1/4 cup
  • Salt to taste
  • Water
  • Ghee or butter - 1 tsp

Procedure to prepare Spinach soup

  • Take a pan and add onion tomato, green chilli, ginger garlic paste.
  • Add water and let water come to boil in a low flame.
  • Let it cook for 10-12 min and then add washed spinach leaves.
  • After 2-3 min , turn off the gas and let the mixture cool down.
  • Blend it to make a smooth paste and keep it aside.
  • Heat ghee or butter in a pan on medium flame.
  • Add grated garlic and cook till raw smell of garlic goes away.
  • Add spinach puree that we prepared.
  • Add water if needed then add salt and black pepper.
  • Cook it for 5 min and add milk in low flame.
  • Mix properly , bring it to boil and turn off the gas.
  • You can add toasted bread pieces to it while serving.
  • Ready to serve.
